Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today Minister of Education

Bandula Gunawardhana noted that the GCE Advanced Level Examination results of 2725 students who sat the examination last year have been subject to change.

Minister Gunnawardhana also stated that the release of resurrected results

had been hampered by court proceedings in this regard.

The UNP as well as the JVP both expressed similar views at two separate media briefings held yesterday, where it was stated that the Minister of Education & Higher Education should both relinquish their portfolios due to the erroneous Z score calculations.

Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardhana speaking during a media briefing held today expressed these views regarding the opposition’s statements which were expressed yesterday.

Although Minister Bandulagunawardhana declines that he should resign, the National Freedom Front which is a currently a constituent of the current regime

states that Minister of Higher Education S.B. Dissanayeke should also resign from his post.

Former Minister Piyasiri Wijenayeke expressing his views at yet another media briefing held today stated that the president should sack both subject ministers.
