122 kg's of illegal tobacco products nabbed at airport

100kg's of chewing tobacco products as well as 22 Kg's of powdered tobacco has been recovered while it had been left at the passenger terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport.

According to a senior spokesperson of the Customs anti narcotics division

the total value of the products have been estimated at 1.2 million rupees.

Authorities cast suspicion that the package may have been left behind by a foreign national, although a verifiable identity on the offender is yet to be ascertained
