CMC to acquire Tennis Association grounds

Acting Mayor of the Colombo Municipal Council Titus Perera states that

the administration of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association has defaulted in its lease payments to the CMC.

The SLTA has defaulted 144 million rupees in payment to the CMC for the lease agreement on the premises.

According to the acting Mayor of the CMC the administration of the SLTA is said to gross in a large income on the premises leased to it by the CMC.

He also noted that the SLTA had requested for additional time to make the payments in this regard.

However the Acting Mayor of the CMC noted that the SLTA grounds will be

re-acquired if the payments are not made.

Speaking further the acting mayor had this to say.
