The French Naval Ship arrived at the Port of Trincomalee this morning for a goodwill visit.

The Navy Headquarters said that the visit is the first of its kind by a French naval ship to the Trincomalee Harbour.

To mark the historic occasion, the Commanding Officer, Commander Gregolfe Germain, accompanied by French Ambassador to Sri Lanka Christine Robichon paid a courtesy call on the Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage.
