The Batticaloa Police have arrested an individual who ran a bogus education institution and awarded fake qualifications.
Police stated that the man forged and sold bachelors, masters and PHD certification to students.
Red Notice revealed details previously of an individual who ran the Olcott Institute and sold fake qualifications for large sums of money in Kandy.
Much emphasis was placed on this issue during that time but as time passed and society moved on to more pressing issues this individual is said to have moved his trade to Batticaloa.
The man had attempted to engage the Deputy Chief Prelate of the Batticaloa-Ampara districts Ven.Ampitiye Sumanarathana Thero in his illegal trade.
Ven.Sumanarathana Thero spoke to us about this individual.
The Thero added that upon suspicion he had then captured this man and tied him to a tree at the temple premises.
These were the views expressed by this individual when Red Notice initially blew the whistle on his trade.
