The Bodu Bala Senaa says that information has been received regarding a plan that is under way to behead a Sri Lankan youth employed in domestic service in Saudi Arabia, according to the Sharia Law.

While the youth is a Buddhist, the charge levelled against him is that he paid obeisance to Lord Buddha at the house where he was employed.

General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Senaa Ven.Galagoda-Atthe Gnaanasaara Thero told our news team that the youth concerned has been imprisoned by the Saudi Arabian police.

Although our news team tried to contact the Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare regarding this, the attempt was futile.
