Congo troops 'flee into Uganda' after rebel clashes
Friday, 06 July 2012 - 03:48 PM

Congolese soldiers have fled into Uganda following clashes with rebels.

Several Bunagana inhabitants said that many soldiers had crossed the border, where they had been disarmed by Uganda's security forces.

The rebels are believed to have seized control of the Congolese side of the town, which is shared with Uganda.

Bosco Ntaganda's rebels took up arms in Democratic Republic of Congo in April.
