The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that reports about a group of Sri Lankan Airmen under training in Chennai being sent back to Sri Lanka is incorrect.

A senior spokesperson for the ministry confirmed that the 9 airmen who were receiving training at the Thambaram Airbase in Chennai have been transferred to a different facility.

Meanwhile, an Indian website confirmed that the Sri Lankan personnel were transferred to Bangalore on board a special Indian Air Force flight.
