President calls on Sri Lanka's diplomat core to uphold image of nation

President Mahinda Rajapaksa states that although the country has been capable of garnering victory at an event, there are several more obstacles to be overcome in order to ensure victory at the tournament.

 

The president stated that the aim of the government was to fortify national security both domestically and internationally while also achieving the required financial goals.

 

The president's comments came during a workshop organised to educate a group of Sri Lankan delegates serving in foreign countries.

 

During the function which was organized at the Diyathalawa army auditorium the president noted that all engaged in diplomatic services should bear in mind that this period was the Renaissance of Asia.

 

Speaking further the president noted that although the country had a concise

foreign policy the threat of the LTTE diaspora was yet to be eliminated.

 

The president also stated that it was the responsibility of All ambassadors &

High commissioners of Sri Lanka to counter these threats.
