No influence from Greek Bonds; says Central Bank.
Monday, 09 July 2012 - 08:30 AM

The attention of the Central Bank has been drawn to several one-sided media reports which have alleged that the Bank has lost heavily by investing in Greek Bonds.

Some reports have also claimed that the Central Bank was summoned to the Committee on Public Enterprises at the request of an Opposition MP.

The Central Bank says that the investment in Greek banks was a small amount out of the Central Bank's total European investments.
The Central Bank said further that the loss incurred by the investment in Greek banks could very easily be made up by the high earnings from other investments.
