A warning has been issued to three districts regarding landslides and rockslides.
The Deputy Media Director of the Disaster Management Centre Sarath Lal Kumara stated that the Building Research Institute had issued this warning to the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Kegalle districts.
Nuwara Eliya District Secretary D. P. G. Kumarasiri says that the Hatton - Nuwara Eliya Road which had been blocked as a result of rockslides at Kudaa Oya has now been restored to normalcy.
He also stated that several sluice gates of the Canyon - Mouse-kelle reservoirs remain open from last afternoon.
Meanwhile the meteorology department says that a decrease in the rainy and windy condition could be observed today, compared to yesterday.
However, Meteorologist in Charge P. G. Yasaratne said that intermittent rain could be experienced in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces today.
