UNP invective of Central Bank's monitory responsibilities

The United National Party charges that the Government's investment of 3.4 billion rupees in purchasing Greek bonds was done devoid of obtaining the approval of the Auditor General.

 

During subsequent CORP committee revelations it was revealed that the economic crises in Greece had led to the losses in Sri Lankan bond investments.

 

The following views were expressed by UNP General Secretary MP Thissa Aththanayeke in this regard during a media briefing which was convened today.

 

 

Speaking further MP Thissa Aththanayake had this to say.
