A decision from the SLMC and TNA within the next couple of hours

A special discussion is being held with the participation of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress members today in order to discuss the party's future course of action with regards to the upcoming provincial polls.

 

According to a senior spokesperson representing the SLMC, a final decision whether the SLMC will be contesting independently or jointly was to be taken during today's meeting  .

 

He also noted that the SLMC's attention had been focussed on forming an alliance with the Tamil National Alliance to contest the upcoming provincial polls in the Eastern Province.
