Sri Lanka's all-rounder Thisara Perera scored 75 off 86 balls to help his side take control of the final Test against Pakistan in Pallekele yesterday.

Sri Lanka finally made 337 in its first innings after recovering from a middle-order collapse on the third day.

Pakistan in response, trailing by 111 runs, finished at 27-1 in its second innings.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has been approached by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the role of spin bowling coach.

He added that he was honoured by BCB's approach, and that it was a fantastic opportunity and great challenge for him.
