The Sri Lankan cricketers who won the First Test, savoured a Test series victory after three years when the Third and final Test against Pakistan ended in a tame draw at the Palekelle International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Set a victory of 270 to win in 71 overs, when the game was called off with nine overs remaining and no decision in sight, Sri Lanka who had no need to chase were 195 for 4 at end with Kumar Sangakkara not out 74 with 11 fours and Angelo Mathews on one.

Man of the match was Asad Shafiq while Kumar Sangakkara was the man of the series.

Pakistan Captain Mis Bah-UL haq speaking during the media briefing expressed these sentiments.
