The first one-day between Sri Lanka and India will be played today at the Mahinda Rajapakse Stadium in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota today.

This will be the first time that the Indian team plays at this stadium and will prove a challenge for them.

On the other hand the Sri Lankan team go into this game on a positive note after defeating Pakistan in the recent series.

India goes into this series after a 6 week vacation while Sri Lanka has been continuing to play one-day and test cricket since the Asia Cup.

Home ground advantage is on Sri Lanka’s side but the Indians have also revamped their side with the services of fast bowlers Umesh Yadav and Zaheer Khan.

The match will begin at 2:30 this afternoon.
