The Family Health Services Officers and the Public Health Inspectors have decided to call off their trade union action.
The PHI's were boycotting the meetings called by the Ministry and refrained from providing information that was required by the Ministry.
The Ministry of Health also informed that the Family Health Services Officers were engaged in a trade union action from yesterday based on 3 demands, where they refrained from engaging in their daily activities including vaccinating children.
Secretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Nihal Jayathilaka had discussions with the two parties yesterday and the departments had decided to end their trade union action following the resolutions received at the meeting.
