Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella states that the government is not interfering in the legal proceedings pertaining to the attack on the Mannar Courts Complex and the intimidation of the Mannar Magistrate.
The minister was responding to a question posed by a journalist at the media briefing held to inform cabinet decision this morning.
The journalist was inquiring if government protection is being offered to Minister Rishad Bathuideen who is alleged to be involved in the incident.
Meanwhile, cabinet approval was received to formulate a minimum price for rice that is being exported.
Cabinet approval was also granted to allocate 2500 million rupees upgrade 5000 primary schools around the island.
