It is reported that 17 cranes at the port are experiencing technical faults.

According to sources they were recently imported from China.

There are approximately 70 cranes operating at the port and 30 cranes were imported recently from China.

However trade unions allege that technical faults are experienced as a result of the fuel used.

When we contacted a chief engineer at the port regarding the issue he stated that no such incident was reported to him.
