Maize cultivation a success.

Maize cultivation has been successful in the North Central Province.

Over 7,000 million rupees which was spent on maize imports could be saved.

Former North Central Province Chief Minister and Chief Ministerial candidate, Berty Premalal Dissanayake said during an interview with the media, that plans are afoot to promote soya bean cultivation,

Elaborating on his role to improve the agriculture sector he added that he took immediate steps to renovate the dilapidated tanks and to remove the mud from reservoirs to supply water during the Maha and Yala seasons.
