Minister of Higher Education S B Dissanayaka says the report on those who have been inconvenienced by the Z score issue, which was ordered by the President, will be completed this evening.
The minister was speaking at a special discussion held with President Mahinda Rajapakse and heads of media institutions this morning.
The Z Score issue was the main topic of discussion during this meeting.
Meanwhile, the President also expressed views regarding the Northern Provincial Council election.
President Mahinda Rajapakse noted that the election will be held in 2013 and also responded to questions regarding the cabinet re-shuffling.
The President’s response was that such a decision has not been taken as yet and would be taken based on the entrance and exit door of the government.
Questions were also raised regarding reports of several United National Party members who are attempting to join the government.
The President responded to them with an open invitation to join hands with the government.
He also added that the opposition’s claims that provincial elections are not required is a joke and added that elections are the clearest indication of democracy.
