Mace of CMC taken by force; No issue states Mayor

The mace of the Colombo Municipal Council was forcibly taken away by a member of the opposition today during its monthly council sessions.

 

Speaking to our news team Mayor of the CMC A.J. M. Mussammil said the mace had been taken away by opposition urban councillor Anura Sujeewa.

 

 

Meanwhile our news team also obtained the views of UPFA Urban Councillor Anura Sujeewa against whom the charge is being levelled.
