Sri Lanka is at the top in blood donation services among developing countries

Sri Lanka has secured this position at a competition of the
International Blood Transfusion Association  held among developing
countries.

This comparative overview has been carried out based on action taken
for the progress of the blood donation service in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The Health Ministry said that close up on 2000 members of 97 member
countries participated in the competition.

A relevant media briefing was held at the Blood Transfusion Centre yesterday.
