It is reported that the Tibetan and the Buddhist communities in the US  are outraged at a   California-based company Icon Shoes for promoting a range of shoes with  Lord Buddha’s images.

Tibetans and Bhutanese Buddhists have written to the company, to express their disgust.

In A Sign Of Aversion they have flooded the company’s Facebook page with protest notes, with no immediate reaction from Icon Shoes.

 Based out of Palm Desert, California, ICON was launched in 1999 by a Hollywood filmmaker and art collector.
