Former president Chandrika Kumaranatunga has stated that current opposition leader Ranil Wickramasinghe did not provide any information regarding the presidential election campaign of her then rival candidate Gamini Dissanayaka.

The office of the former president had released a statement stating that there is no basis to the allegations made by the government ministers.

The office of the former President Sri Lanka further revealed that the opposition leader did pay a courtesy call on her after she assumed duties as Prime Minister, in his capacity as the outgoing Prime Minister.
