
The UPFA appeals of the public to refrain from electing racist politicians to office during the upcoming polls if harmony amongst ethnicities is to be established.
Deputy Minister of Environment Faizer Musthafa addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today stated that political harmony was a prerequisite towards fostering concordance between ethnicities.
Meanwhile Parliamentarian Prabha Ganeshan who expressed his views at the media briefing cautioned the public against persons who attempt to obtain votes in the East by promulgating views with regard to Tamil racism.
