President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that officials should take immediate action to stop timber trafficking and hunting that taking place within National Wildlife Parks.
Participating at the Badulla District Development Committee meeting yesterday the President said that the police, Forest Conservation Department and Wildlife Department should jointly implement an extensive programme with this regard.
Meanwhile the President also queried officials with regard to the delay in the opening of the 'Rideepaana' Elders' Home.

Meanwhile a former minister Wadi-wail Suresh posed a question to the President with regard to the name boards put up for creating awareness about Government development programmes.
