A statement made by the General Secretary of the SLFP Minister Maithreepala Sirisena is causing a stir in the political arena at present.
Minister Sirisena alleged that current opposition leader, Ranil Wickramasinghe provided the then People's Alliance Presidential candidate Chandrika Bandaranayaka Kumaranatunga inside information regarding the UNP presidential candidate Gamini Dissanayaka during the 1994 presidential election campaign.
