Defence secretary calls criticism on reconciliation baseless

The Defence Summit 2012 titled 'Towards Lasting Peace & Stability" got under way in Colombo today with the participation of around 250 local & foreign delegates representing 40 countries.

 

The Summit which is being held under 5 concepts will be in session until Friday this week.

 

The inaugural address of the summit was delivered by Defence Secretary Ghotabhaya Rajapaksa.

 

Expressing his views, Defence Secretary Ghotabhaya Rajapaksa termed certain allegations levelled by various groups concerning reconciliation amongst ethnicities as baseless.
