Chief Secretary of the Nawa Sama Samaja Party Dr. Wickramabahu Karunarathna states that the TESO Summit or else known as the Tamil Eeelam Summit which is due to commence its inaugural session on the 12th of August in Chennai, is being sponsored by the Indian government.
Dr. Wickramabahu expressing his views in this regard noted that although he had been extended an invitation to join the summit he had not received the required visa facilities as of yet.
Moreover 3 MP's of the Tamil National Alliance including the Chief Secretary of the party Parliamentarian Mawei Senadhi Raja have also been extended invitations to partake in the TESO Summit.
It is also reported that Chief Secretary of the Tamil National Peoples Party
Former Parliamentarian Gajendra Kumar Ponnambalam & Leader of the Democratic National Front Mano Ganeshan had also received invitations.
Representatives of these parties are currently engaged in a special round of discussions in Colombo to decide their stance regarding attendance for the TESO Summit.
However Former Chief Minister of the East Shivanesathirei Chandrakanth alias Pillyan expressing his views during an election rally held in Trincomalee noted that an Eelam state would never realize in Sri Lanka.
