The Lower House of the Indian Parliament Lok Sabha is expected to go in for a special debate concerning Sri Lanka next week.

According to sources the topic of Sri Lankan Tamils is set to dominate the debate.

The decision to take up issues concerning Sri Lanka was taken at the meeting of the business advisory committee of the Lok Sabha.

India used its vote against Sri Lanka during the recently held United Nations Human Rights Council Session in Geneva.

However bilateral ties between both countries continue to advance despite the fiction.

Moreover a business delegation comprising of prominent Indian businessman arrived with Indian Minister of Trade & Commerce Anand Sharma recently.

Ensuing discussions focussed on the expansion of broad economic cooperation; however the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement or CEPA continues to attract widespread criticism from various factions within the country.
