Wayaba United wins convincingly.

A commanding opening stand of 176 runs helped Wayamba United cruise to a convincing 9-wicket win against Uthura Rudras in a SLPL match played at R. Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Put into bat first Uthura Rudras raced to reach 179-7 with opener Imran Farhat hitting a 22-ball 51 and good knocks followed by Mahela Udawatte.

Wayamba United openers Tamim Iqbal and Kamran Akmal smashed half centuries to help their team achieve a commanding win losing just the wicket of the latter.

Wayamba United scored 183 runs for the loss of 1 wicket, in 19.2, cruising to a 9 wicket victory against the Uthura Rdras.
