Chief Incumbent of Malwatta Chapter Most Venerable Thibbatuwaawey Sri Sumangala Thero said that the very five great sources of power which had been dedicated to bring about the 1956 Government had today taken to the streets.
The Prelate said that it would be good if the university lecturer’s problem is discussed with the President.
Chief Incumbent most venerable Thibbatuwaawey Sri Sumangala Thero said that he hoped that this problem would be solved soon.
The Prelate said so when a group of representatives of the Peradeniya University Lecturers called on him yesterday.
The prelate also asserted that it was manifest that through these incidents the hope of setting up private universities in the country was being fulfilled.
The Malwatta Chief Incumbent said that if the President holds discussions for solving the fishermen's problems he should also take steps to hold discussions to resolve the university lecturers' problems.
