The Jathika Sewaka Sangamaya of the Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation states that another 20,000 Metric Tonnes of diesel which was imported via Vittol Incorporated is being stored at the Muthu-Rajawela oil refinery at present.

Secretary of the CPC'S JSS Ananda Palith addressing a media briefing in Colombo today noted that if this consignment was released to the market,

it too would result in exacerbation of issues.

Meanwhile addressing yet another media briefing held in Colombo subject Minister Susil Premajayantha went onto say that a separate investigation has been launched through the Auditor General's Office concerning the contaminated fuel consignment.

Minister Premajantha also noted that those found liable would be reprimanded.

However Chairman of the CPC's JSS Ananda Palitha expressed these views

stating that the conundrum concerning the CPC could be solved in the following manner.

Meanwhile issuing a news paper notification Singapore based oil giant Vittol Incorporated has denied allegations regarding the delivery of contaminated fuel supplies.
