A group of farmers in Angunu Kola Palassa are currently engaged in a protest demanding water from the Chandrika Tank.

These farmers had begun their protest in front of the Angunu Kola Palassa Mahaweli office and had travelled by foot to the centre of the Angunu Kola Palassa town.

According to our news correspondent, the road to Embilipitya through Ranna - Angunu Kola Palassa and the road to Middeniya through Hungama - Angunu Kola Palassa has been obstructed.

Speaking to our news team a group of farmers expressed their views.
