Maithreepala went against Chandrika; says Mangala

United National Party Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera states that Minister Maithreepala Sirisena acted against Former President Chandrika

Bandaranaika Kumarathunga during the 1994 presidential poll.

Speaking to our news team UNP MP Mangala Samaraweera also noted that

Minister Maithreepala had observed a silent policy during the 2005 presidential poll.

 

In a recent statement made by Minister Maithreepala Sirisena it was noted that

Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe had provided classified information to then president Chandrika Kumarathunga over the campaign of UNP presidential candidate Gamini Dissanayeke during the 1994 presidential poll.

Meanwhile the statement made by minister Sirisena has created a ripple effect in the political arena.

Hence our news team made inquiries in this regard from UNP Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera who played a chief role during President Chandrika Kumaratunga's 1994 presidential campaign.
