The token strike launched by Doctors Island wide against the grenade attack launched on the home of Sri Lanka Medical Council Member & Specialist Dr. Lalantha Ranasinghe this morning is still being observed and will conclude at 8 a.m. tomorrow according to Government Medical Officers Association.
Investigations regarding the incident have been handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department.
In related developments the GMOA convened a media briefing in Colombo this afternoon.
Here journalists questioned the GMOA behind its motive to continue with the strike action at a juncture when the incident is being probed by the CID.
