The Inspector General of Police has taken steps to place a book within schools where children could note their complaints concerning corporal punishments, physical and non physical abuse.

Speaking to our news team IGP N.K. Illangakoon stated that steps had been taken to notify all police stations throughout the island via Senior IGP's.

According to the IGP the notion behind the implementation is to foster a cordial relationship between police & students.

At present the measure has been implemented within the most populous

schools while it is due to be implemented in the rest as well.
