Seychelles, Sri Lanka to increase trade

A high level, 15 member delegation from Republic of Seychelles has arrived in Colombo on yesterday on a three day visit.

 

Led by James Alix Michel, President of Seychelles, the delegation will comprise, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Natural Resources and Industry

 

In 2011, Sri Lanka’s exports to Seychelles stood at $0.83 million dollars while imports were at 1.64 million dollars.

 

Main products exported from Sri Lanka include tea and fishing vessels.

 

Gem and jewellery, furniture, boats and plastic products have export potential in the Seychelles market.
