The police state that the most valuable artefact stolen from the Colombo National Museum has been recovered.

A jewelled ring belonging to the Anuradhapura era is considered to be the most valuable of the artefacts stolen.

While 6 suspects are currently in custody, the main suspect, Lansage Priyantha Mendis is still at large.

Speaking to our news team Police Media spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana clarified the current situation.
