The Marine Conservation Authority requests of the public to notify them

in case of sighting the oil slick on the coastal belt spanning from Mount Laviania

to Negombo.

Accordingly the public are advised to inform the MCA on the following phone numbers.

The numbers are,

0112 687 520 , 0112 690 604 & 0112 690 605

Speaking to our news team General Manager of the MCA Rear Admiral

S.R. Samarathunga stated that the oil leak had not yet been pronounced as a Disaster.
