The Foreign Employment Bureau says that action will be taken with serious attention with regard to sending Sri Lankan workers to Lebanon in the future.
By now the crisis situation that has cropped up in Siriya has impacted on the activities of Lebanon as well.
International reports say that as a result of this there are premonitions of some crisis situation arising in Lebanon as well.
The Foreign Employment Bureau says that accordingly the Sri Lankan embassy sources in Lebanon has informed that caution be applied when sending Sri Lankan workers to Lebanon.
However the Bureau says further that there was no need for undue panic as up to now no untoward situation has arisen.
Bureau chairman Amal Senaadhilankaara said further that that Lebanon is now on full alert on providing full protection to Sri Lankans serving there.
