The Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon Ranjith Gunarathna has confirmed that no Sri Lankan Nationals have been hurt in clashes occurring in the country.

Speaking to our news team Ambassador Gunarathna noted that clashes have erupted in the Northern part of Lebanon where around 10 thousand Sri Lankan migrant employees reside.

Due to the ensuing tumult between Syrian Government forces & rebels routs to the countries main air ports have been cut-off.

According to Ambassador Gunarathna the Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon has taken steps to inform the Ministry of External Affairs regarding all developments.
