President Mahinda Rajapaksa has stated that the government of Sri Lanka is only involved with the Indian Centre and not with provincial governments.

However President Rajapaksa noted that Colombo will continue to closely monitor developments in Tamilnadu.

Speaking further President Mahinda Rajapaksa noted that his planned tour of India will proceed as scheduled.

Meanwhile President Mahinda Rajapaksa is also due to take part in the 58th Session of the Common Wealth Parliamentary MP's Summit which is due to be held in Colombo on Sunday.

Incidentally President Rajapaksa also bears office as an Advisor to the Commonwealth Parliamentary MP's Summit.
