A report carried by the Hindu states that working president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, an Indian based Hindu Political party S. Vedantham, has cautioned that the growing relationship between China and Sri Lanka could pose a threat to India.

According to Vedantham the growing relationship and military ties between Sri Lanka and China are said to pose a potential threat to India as the communist nation had its presence in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Furthermore the President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has also stated that Against this backdrop, the proposal to have joint military exercise with China was only showing India’s submissiveness.

He said that India was mired in scams, terrorism and other serious allegations since gaining independence & went onto say that he personally believed that no political party in the country could salvage it from this “pathetic state”.
