Election Watchdog groups have collectively termed today's polls as peacedull with a decline observed in election violence related incidents.
Executive Director for the Peoples Action for a Free & Fair Election Rohana Hettiarachchi noted that he expects a higher voter turn out towards the latter of the day.
Meanwhile the Campaign for a Free & Faire Election or CAFFE notes that voters are displaying a minimum interest in casting ballots.
Executive Director of CAFFE Keerthi Thennakoon expressed the following views concerning voter turnout & reported incidents of election violations.
Police Media spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana meanwhile states that no serious incidents relating to election violence has been reported at the Police Election Secretariat.
However he noted that that the police Special Task force has been deployed to the East in lieu of it's security.
