The UPFA says that the names of Chief Ministers of the recently-election held North Central, Sabaragamuwa and Eastern Provinces will be revealed today.
UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha said that a final discussion with regard to this would be held today with the participation of all leaders of parties in the UPFA.
In response to a query by our news team Minister Susil Premajayantha said that in accordance with the decision taken at this discussion, the swearing-in by the new Chief Ministers is scheduled to take place in a few days.
Meanwhile the Election Secretariat says that the time given for candidates who won at the provincial council election this time for declaring their assets and liabilities ends tomorrow.
A senior Election Secretariat spokesman told our news team that as a result of the non-declaration of assets and liabilities so far, the gazetting of the names of candidates who won at the election had been delayed.
The spokesman also said further that the relevant party general secretaries had been informed about this.
