Following the protest FUTA, along with several other trade unions had called a conference at the Colombo Public Library.
Speaking at the conference the chairman of FUTA Nirmal Ranjith Devasiri stated that the government has one more chance to solve the issues plaguing the university lecturers.
As of now one of the main demands of the university lecturers is that the government set aside 6% of the GDP for education.
