A statement made by the Ceylon Teachers Union alleging authorities of a supposed pre-disclosure of year 5 scholarship examination papers created a wide forum in society.
According to the Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana investigations have cleared suspicions regarding such an occurrence.
Chief Secretary of the CTU Mahinda Jayasinghe today meanwhile sought the assistance of the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission stating that the Criminal Investigations Department had carried out a biased & incomplete investigation
into the allegations.

Meanwhile Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardhana states that the assistance of the countries legal system will be sought against individuals who propagate unfounded rumours.
Minister Gunawardhana addressing a function held in Galle went onto say that
legal action against such individuals was the only viable option.
The Inter University Students Federation urging the government to solve issues persistant in the countries education sector launched a sathyagraha before the Fort Railway Station this afternoon.
Convenor of the IUSF Sanjeewa Bandara expressed these views regarding the protest launched by his federation.
The Fort Magistrates court meanwhile issued several orders to the IUSF concerning the sathyagraha which was launched by it upon a request made by the Fort police.
Accordingly the IUSF was only permitted to host their protest within the vacant land located before the Fort Railway Station.
Thereby the court order issued against the IUSF today prevented the demonstrators from blocking vehicular traffic and inconveniencing railway commuters.
Meanwhile the convenor of the IUSF Sanjeewa Bandara was placed under police custody while travelling by bus this evening subsequent to his engagement in today’s protest launched by the IUSF.
