Interrogation on Sri lankan's deported from UK commences

Police states that it will take steps to release the group of Sri Lankan migrants who had arrived in the island subsequent to their deportation from the UK will be released subsequent to interrogation.

According to Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana the group are currently being interrogated by officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department.

The individuals who had arrived in the island in a specially charted flight include 13 Tamil nationals, 08 Muslims & 04 Singhalese.

A majority of those deported in the following manner, according to sources are said to be migrants who have had their asylum claims rejected.
